WORKING IN PARTNERSHIP IN AN UNFAMILIAR CONTEXT
IECD: launching Future Leaders in Madagascar
The European Institute for Cooperation and Development (IECD) is our first partnership with an international NGO and the partner behind our first programme in a French-speaking country. Founded in 1988, IECD works in 18 countries on education, vocational training and entrepreneurship, and has been active in Madagascar for over 20 years alongside its local partner PROMES.
IECD leads delivery in Fianarantsoa, drawing on its operational expertise, local teams and deep understanding of the Malagasy context. Pestalozzi International provides the educational framework - holistic, Head, Heart and Hands pedagogy and long-term leadership development. The first cohort of 24 children will begin an 8-year journey in September 2026.

LEVERAGING WORLD CLASS PARTNERS
Enko Education: world-class management for Pestalozzi Academy
Pestalozzi Academy is owned by Pestalozzi and managed by Enko Education - a fast-growing network of 19 African international schools across 11 countries, and the largest network of IB schools in Africa. Pestalozzi owns the school, buildings and business and employs every member of staff; Enko brings world-class operational management.
Under Enko's management, enrolment has doubled to more than 1,050 learners with a waiting list in place. Fee collection has risen to 95%, IB accreditation was secured 18 months ahead of schedule, and the school has moved from requiring subsidy to being cash-generative - now the most affordable International Baccalaureate school in the world.

SUPPORTING OUR ALUMNI'S IMPACT
Chipembele: backing Zambia's next conservation leaders
Pestalozzi International is funding the next cohort of the Aspiring Conservation Leaders Programme, run by the Chipembele Wildlife Education Trust in Zambia's South Luangwa Valley. The programme was designed by Pestalozzi alumna Thandiwe Mweetwa around our Head, Heart and Hands pedagogy.
Rural school leavers spend a year combining ecology and policy training, a field-based bush camp, work placements with conservation NGOs, and a career trip to Lusaka - bridging the gap between secondary school and a career protecting Zambia's wildlife.

SUPPORTING OUR ALUMNI'S IMPACT
Our Moon: bridging school and university for Zambia's brightest
Pestalozzi International is funding the next cohort of Our Moon Education's Young Leaders Programme, co-founded by UK Village alumnus Justin Mushitu. The programme bridges the year-long gap between high school and university for brilliant but financially disadvantaged Zambian students who would otherwise lose out on international scholarships.
Built around our Head, Heart and Hands pedagogy, the programme combines rigorous critical-thinking and research training, a 4,000-word research essay mentored by Ecolint, and a student-led community project - turning outstanding school leavers into confident applicants to the world's best universities.

What impact looks like
From refugee camp to engineering firm
They taught me to give back and to be caring within my environment. I want to create spaces where young refugees can develop their skills. My dream is to build an engineering firm that empowers others - starting in my own community.
Ahmed Kazadi, originally from the Democratic Republic of Congo, found a home at Pestalozzi International's campus in Zambia. Supported academically, emotionally and socially, Ahmed discovered not only a passion for engineering but also a purpose. He's just one of thousands of alumni who are changing lives because of the Pestalozzi approach.
